My network basically consists of only 1 website at the moment which earned around $160 last month. I use to have around 4 decent sites, but they all died off as I lacked in promoting them and developing them. Most of my time has been dedicated to college, and my part time job is starting to consume more time because of a lack of employees. I’m thinking it might be my time to go as well.

The new plan is to expand my network with a few more sites based around the same formula as the site that made ~$160 last month. I finally got hold of some capital to invest in link building campaigns, so everything should work out pretty well. The only think I’m worried about is putting all of my eggs in one basket - most of these websites will be getting a majority of their earnings from one source of advertising. I guess I’ll just look at it as milking as much income as I can before I get shutdown, not that I’m doing anything sketchy. You just never know what could happen.

I recently picked up a few domains, and I’m going to start a new mini network of mini niche websites (mini-mini, haha). I picked up 3 cell phone related domains and another car related domain to add to my car network. The main reason I’m posting about this is to get it ranked, but some of you may find it interesting. As far as estimated earnings, I’m hoping the site makes $1 a day (along with the other 2 sites). It’d be cool to earn $100/month from just a few hours of work (thus passive income).

It took me a few hours to get it up, but I have the ‘template’ completed, and it should only take an hour to get the other two sites up (uploading and writing content). I still have more content to write, and I have to start getting backlinks for the site. But other than that, it’s pretty much complete.

Here’s the URL: LG Venus

The time has come to reveal my new network! I’m making this a bigger deal than what it really is, so please bare with me. So far I’ve completed 3 out of a planned 5ish sites; don’t want to spread myself to thin. All of them are using the default Wordpress template with a custom header. Here they are, starting with the smallest:

LexusLF-A.net: This site was started when I heard about Lexus’ development of their next supercar, the LF-A. It’s what you’d call a mini niche site, which will only be updated once or twice a week. The goal is to eventually rank for the word Lexus LF-A when it comes closer to the launch date of the vehicle.

NissanGT-R.org: The Nissan GT-R is very near and dear to my heart. It is my dream car, and has been so for 7 years. With that said, NissanGT-R.org is my baby. I try and update her everyday, and keep things fresh. If you don’t check out any of my sites, at least check this baby out.

FactoryJDM.com: This is my big site, my tier 1 site. It’s going to be an information portal for everything that has to do with Japanese cars. I’m going to write about whatever I want, whenever I want. In its first day I posted 3 times, and I have 2 posts lined up for tomorrow. I plan to flood this site with unique content, and I hope to get it ranking soon. The domain has been registered for over a year (just renewed it) so hopefully it will do well in the SERPs.

See the trend? All car sites. Cars are my passion, I’ve loved them since I knew about them. I plan on launched a few more sites, but I’m not quite sure what I’ll do yet. In the mean time, please check out the sites. A simple copy and paste is all you’ll need; I didn’t link to them because I want to keep them as separate as possible. Hope you like them, and please leave feedback about them here. I need all of the suggestions I can get to make them successful.

Although I could really drag this post out, I need to make it quick and get some sleep. I’m basically changing up my network, again. I’ve been talking with some guys about internet marketing in general, and they’ve basically told me what I should have known. I’m chasing niches that I don’t give a shit about. Coupons? Who gives a flying fuck about coupons?! Shot glasses? Well I like shot glasses and I actually collect them, but not enough to write about every day.

I’m basically only going to build sites around subjects that I’m passionate about. Sure, they may be saturated markets. But there are tons of people that are just chasing money that I’m sure I could out rank because I actually give a shit about what I’m writing about.

In a week or two I plan on announcing everything in my network, and you’ll be able to tell what subjects interest me. I won’t be able to build a site about everything I like, but I’m going to try and cover a good amount of subjects. Some will be mini niche sites that I don’t plan to update more than once or twice a week, while others are sites I’d like to update as often as possible.

I’m also working on trying to get a new job at a graphic design, marketing, programming, media, everything in one type of company. I have some pretty good connections to get inside, but I just need to make the effort. Of course I’m not guaranteed the spot, and I’m nervous as fuck about it; I haven’t even called to schedule an appointment for an interview. However I’m going to try as hard as I can and give it my best shot.

Thats all for now. This post turned out longer than I had hoped. Time to get some sleep, peace.

I’m gearing up for a new project, Coupon.nu. Do a google search for the term ‘coupon’ and you’ll get ~85,000,000 results. You’ve also joined the ~5,700 people who also search for the term daily. But before we get ahead of ourselves, I won’t be targeting the keyword coupon. That would be a complete waste of time, as the top players won’t be dropping ranks anytime soon.

I’ll be going after a few 3 and 4 word longtails. For those of you who don’t know, a longtail is a keyword that is more specific. Here is an example of a niche breakdown:

Sports

Baseball

MLB

New York Teams

New York Yankees

New York Yankee Merchandise

In my opinion, a longtail doesn’t have to be more than 1 word. I think it just defines a keyword that is more specific, rather than a general search term such as sports.

Now, I’m sure you’ll guess that the more words you add to your query, the less results you’ll get and that means less traffic for you (generally speaking). Well, after doing some keyword research there are some great 3 and 4 word search terms that are getting around 300-400 searches per day. The guys ranking for these terms aren’t necessarily easy to overtake, however I do think there is room for another player. Because of this, I won’t be releasing what terms I’m trying to rank for. I’m not even sure if I should talk about the niche (and post the URL to the site!) I’m trying to profit for. But its all in good spirits.

The structure of the site will be much like BuyShotGlasses.com. The bulk of the income will hopefully come from the EPN network. However with coupons being such a large niche, I hope to find some good affiliate programs to experiment with. Of course, Adsense will be apart of the revenue stream as well.

The goal for this new project is as follows:

Setup wordpress and all of the plugins, do some keyword research tomorrow

Have at least 8 pages of content posted by June 16, finish keyword research

Start working on backlinks, and add more content daily

By May 14, have at least 50 uniques in a single day, all organic

As the project goes on, I’ll set revenue goals along with raising the bar on the above goals. But I must not forget about my other projects as well. With only a few hours per day to work on the web, I really need to prioritize what I’m doing. I easily get distracted browsing forums and blogs, and waste away time. Sure, I’m not making any coin right now, but I’m setting up my empire to hopefully one day make some money.

Thats all for tonight. Its 2:10 AM and I’m getting tired (along with a side of a nasty headache). Work was rough, and I didn’t get any good tips because of the amount of guests we had. Its a bit discouraging working on all of these projects, knowing that they aren’t making a dime right now, and they may never make it. And it sucks with my parents being a little discouraging lately, not understanding why I work so much on these sites. I guess they lost faith in me earning any money. Oh well, enough bitching for today. Time to make some fucking money.

I’ve adopted two new domains: NissanGT-R.org and LexusLF-A.net. The hyphens do make the domains look a bit awkward, however that is the correct spelling for each. I’m going to start working on the GT-R site as soon as possible because the GT-R has been released. The Lexus LF-A has yet to be released, however there have been some prototypes lurking around the Ring. Well I’ll save the rest of the info for the sites.

What’s my plan? Build up as much information as I can in the next few days using Wordpress as my CMS, and whore out links to as many social bookmarking sites as possible. I will also comment on a ton of auto related blogs and try and get some traffic going, and hopefully I will be able to rank well for some decent keywords. Then I may through up a forum, depending on the traffic.

Revenue will be generated through Adsense, affiliate ads, and EPN (eBay partner network) ads. Hopefully with a few days work these sites will turn into $3-$5 day earners. With two of them, that would be $180-$300 per month. I don’t plan on spending more than 10-12 hours with the sites combined.

So in theory this plan should work. You build up a mini site, ad unique content (or rewritten scraped content), get some backlinks, and bam money. I mean, people post all over the interwebs about this business model. Well I’ve tried and tried, and the most successful site I’ve ever built was a car blog along time ago. And I got lazy with monetization, and found myself wondering why the site wasn’t making any money.

Then along came some guy flashing big bucks ($150) for a site that probably took 15-20 hours of my time to make. I was young and naive, the site had plenty of potential (around 40-50 hand written posts) and the place is now a fucking parked domain. The domain was brandable, and I had a small but dedicated reader base. Digg users loved some of my articles, which really helped the site in the rankings. But no, I’m an idiot and lost a potentially great money maker.

So I’m returning back to the niche. A niche I can write about for days. The automotive niche. And I plan to make a small network, more like a mini network consisting of a few sites, and hopefully turn a healthy profit.

Oh yea, you’re probably wondering if I have any updates about BuyShotGlasses.com and Editorialize.org. Well I do, but that will have to wait for another day. I have some work to do on these two new sites. See ya.

I have 2 new projects ready to go. BuyShotGlasses.com is a Ebay Affiliate site. I plan on getting traffic through search engines. The site is like a niche mini site, and it will generate revenue through the EPN. I designed the site to make it look like I was actually selling shot glasses. The user will click on the item (an Ebay affiliate link) and whenever the user buys ANYTHING from ebay in the next 30 days, I’ll get 50% of the profit ebay gets.

My next project is Editorialize.org. It is more of a premium website than BuyShotGlasses. The site offers a service to blog owners who are trying to build large numbers of blogs. I will post on there blog for them for a month for a basic fee. Of course, I won’t be doing any writing if everything works out. I plan on managing the company and distributing the work amongst my employees. But as of now I’m currently the only one working there, so I might need to do some writing for the time being. If you’re interested in working, contact me via the script at the bottom of the site.

Sorry about this post being so bland. I’ve been extremely busy today, and I still have a lot of work to do. This post was like a little break for me. Thanks for reading.
